As a radiation therapist, I know cancer treatment is more than just targeting the disease.
Patients need clarity, mental strength, and calm to support true healing. That’s why I focus on explaining radiation therapy treatment in a way that empowers—so you understand why it matters, what’s in your control, and how it works to fight cancer.
Knowledge and mental health support aren’t just comforting; they’re powerful tools that help patients cope with cancer treatment and feel stronger every step of the way.
How Let's Talk Radiation Therapy was born

Turning awareness into action
Working in radiation oncology felt natural to me because it combined my two greatest passions: medicine and helping others. As a sixteen-year radiation therapist, I’ve guided patients through every step of their radiation therapy treatment, always making it my mission to help them understand what was happening and why.
I’ve seen firsthand how clear communication and practical information can provide strength, ease anxiety, and support mental health during treatment.
Even outside the clinic, I often supported family and friends facing cancer diagnoses, answering questions, offering guidance, and helping them navigate the emotional challenges. Over time, I realized that many people were struggling in similar ways, revealing a gap in accessible, practical information about radiation therapy.
That insight inspired Let's Talk Radiation Therapy.
Drawing on nearly two decades of experience, I created a book that explains cancer treatments and radiation therapy in a friendly, approachable way—just like the conversations I have with patients. My goal is to provide knowledge that supports mental health, reduces anxiety, and empowers readers to feel informed, confident, and hopeful throughout their radiation therapy treatment.
Seeing how understanding can transform someone’s experience—from fear and doubt to hope and strength—has been incredibly rewarding. Today, I’m grateful to help people feel informed, empowered, and ready to face the next steps with clarity, comfort, and reassurance.
